For an all encompassing reformation of the WissZeitVG

Nearly one year after the evaluation of the amendment of the Wissenschaftszeivertraggesetzes (WissZeitVG) and after a number of stakeholder meetings, the Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forchung (BMBF) published its first key point paper regarding the reformation of the law. While we welcome this step in the right direction, we are disappointed by the content: The suggestions at most alleviate the symptoms of the system of non-permanent employment, but show no sign of healing it.

In our joined statement from various employee and student representations we want to again draw attention to what, from an employee point of view, is needed to fully change the WissZeitVG for the better. Unfortunately the statement is only available in German, as it is mostly addressed to the german government.
